Restaurant and bar
We source as many fresh ingredients from as nearby as possible. Our family farm (Foulden Latimer) supplies spring lamb as well as game when in season. We have planted a new vegetable and herb garden ensuring a fresh supply of seasonal produce for our chefs. Fresh fish and meat are also provided by local East Anglian suppliers. We are always on the look out of more good local suppliers.
On top of this, we have our own herd of Aberdeen Angus which supplies 30 day hung home grown and reared beef to the Bedingfeld and makes the most amazing burgers from it as well.
The Restaurant
Two intimate restaurant rooms, each seating around 22 people, run in separate rooms off either side of the central bar area. Meals are also served in the dog friendly bar which has another two tables, one next to the fire , so those with their dogs can also enjoy meals at the Bedingfeld. The Oak and Stone room with its solid glass walls and sliding full length doors overlooking the garden, seats up to 30 people and can be booked separately as a private dining room if preferred. In the summer meals are also served both out in the large south facing garden or for those preferring al fresco dining with a bit of shade, can choose to sit under the oak veranda.
The Bar
Carved from a large trunk of Oak, our bar, with a cosy log fire in the same room, along with the sofas and relaxed seating area , makes you feel at home in the country instantly. And as a free house, the Bedingfeld always has a good range of local real ales and ciders on tap, as well as a great pint of Guinness, premium lagers such as Peroni and a good wine list. The range of non- alcoholic drinks keeps growing, getting more interesting by the day, with Mocktails becoming a firm favourite. With a sophisticated piece of real coffee machinery there is a wide selection of coffees (hot chocolate, teas and herbal drinks ) available all day.
Rustic Sourdough Pizzas
Hand made, rustic sourdough pizza’s, cooked in our new Italian stone oven, are now available for eat in and takeaway.

Designed to create a great working environment for our chefs, our new kitchen, with state of the art equipment , a lot of natural light and plenty of space, was completed in summer 2018.
